Lowe's Build and Grow - Grave Digger

The weekend before Monster Jam I saw the sign for the Build and Grow Clinic at Lowe's, it was to build your own Grave Digger.  I thought this would be a great activity for the kids, plus it was free!  I went to sign the kids up, but all the Lowe's around us had already filled up.  I was very thankful that Jacob found one in Cartersville that had a few openings, so we quickly took two spots!  It was well worth the drive.  The kids had a blast!

You could tell that Kelly felt like a big kid as she helped me put Grave Digger together and she did a great job with the hammer.

Austin was too little to hammer, but he still found ways to help Daddy.

When they were done they each got a cookie, a certificate, a patch for the project and their very own Lowe's apron!

They are already signed up for the next clinic where they will build Monster Mutt!  Can't wait to see them in their little aprons ;)

Monster Jam

Well, our Saturday started off crappy, literally!  We started having septic tank problems again the night before and had to have someone come out again.  It ends up we need some work done that will be a pretty penny. It was nice that we had something planned later on in the day, so we could let off some steam and have fun.

Last year was our first year as a family to Monster Jam, Jacob has been many times before, and we all loved it so much we decided to go every year.  This year Grandma, Grandpa and Kyleigh came with us.  The kids had been talking about this for weeks and could not wait to go.  Austin loves Grave Digger and Kelly's favorite is Madusa.  We were able to go down into the pit this year to see the trucks up close.

After that we walked around until it was time to go to our seats.  We found a lady airbrushing, so the kids got into the spirit and had their favorites put on their face.

This year we had press tickets and had a great view.  They had popcorn, hotdogs with fixings, chips, and drinks for us to eat and snack on the whole night.  It was nice.  We ended up in an area where it was just us and we could keep the kids contained, but they could still run around a little and play.

Grandpa even got us on the jumbotron a few times.

I took tons of pictures (as you can see), but here are a few of the action.

Both Kelly and Austin did great!  It was a very long day with no naps and I could not have been prouder of them.  The show was great and we can't wait until next year!
