Thanksgiving and the return of Chippey

This morning we woke up to two very excited little ones.  Chippey came during the night and he brought the kids new Christmas PJs.

We are all so excited to have Chippey back and can't wait to see what fun he has in-store for us this year!

So Thankful for these two!

Kelly could not wait for Grandma and Grandpa to get here so she could start eating!

Grandma came with some fun goodies for the kids that they loved!
A Lalaloopsy coloring book for Kelly

and a Batman magna doodle for Austin.

She also brought them a new Christmas book.  The kids had her reading it almost as soon as she gave it to them.

For our entertainment Kelly and Grandma sang Rudolph for us, which I have on video ;), and Kelly dressed up as a pilgrim.

Before dinner the kids changed into their new PJs

and had some cuddle time with Grandpa.

As always, Jacob did an amazing job on our dinner.  This year I was his sou chef.  We had turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, mac n cheese, green beans, cauliflower gratin, deviled eggs, and bread.  For dessert we had a yummy chocolate pie!

We have so many things to be thankful for this year!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Kelly's new room

It was time to get Kelly out of her toddler bed and into a "big girl" bed.  She was so excited when we started looking at bunk beds for her.  We found a set that would give her a desk and extra storage.  We thought it was perfect for the size of her room.

And since she is crazy about Lalaloopsy there was no other choice to what the theme of her room would be.

She is in Lala-love!

We decided not to use the other bed and give her a reading nook!

I found the idea on Pinterest for her stuffed animal storage, they are all inside of the bean bag!  A big thanks to Grandma for picking up the bean bag cover for me!

She is already putting her desk to good use and it is a great way to do homework away from brother.

This is a poem that Pillow says on one of the shows.

Even her "K" is covered in buttons to go with the theme of her room.

Austin's new room

Austin has been into Batman for a little while now and has been asking and asking for a new big boy room.  We never really changed his room from when he was a baby, just changed his crib into a toddler bed and put his Lightning McQueen comforter on, so it was time for a change!

I had a hard time finding Batman bedding for a toddler bed, everything I found was for a twin bed and up, and then I came across the softest Batman blanket at Walmart that would fit his bed perfectly! Everything else came together after that!

I made almost all of the artwork for his room.

I love his hand print Batman!

Austin loves his new Batcave!

Trick or Treat!

We started our Halloween night with our traditional trick or treat pizza dinner!

Kelly made a very cute Mittens Fluff n Stuff!

Daddy even dressed up this year

Austin was a very cute Batman.  Every time he went to get candy he would say "I'm Batman!"

Showing off his big muscles!

We all had a great time trick or treating.  The rain held off and it didn't start sprinkling until the kids had their buckets filled, but Daddy still took them to Walmart and let them pick out a big bag of candy each since we didn't finish.

Happy Halloween!!
