Pumpkin Carving

Last night was pumpkin carving night!

The kids were so excited and have been talking about what they wanted their pumpkin to look like.  Kelly and Daddy teamed up and Austin got me.
Kelly went with her own design...

and Austin picked to do Marshall.
(I think Daddy was very happy with his carving partner, LOL)

Daddy finished in no time and then had to go to a fire meeting, so I had the kids pick out the seeds so we could bake them.  They had fun getting messy and it kept them busy while I was hard at work.

I think we did a pretty good job this year!

I can't wait to see them all dressed up in their costumes! They are going to be SO cute!

Weekend fun

We had a lot of fun last weekend.  On Friday after school we took Kelly to get her new pet! She was so excited!

Meet Elsa

Saturday Daddy went fishing and we had a relaxing day.

Sunday we got up very early and made the 2 1/2 hour trip to Cracker Barrel to surprise the kids.

Matching with my girl!

We spent the rest of the day exploring and shopping at different malls. We even picked up our ornaments for the year.

1st day of Kindergarten and 2nd grade!

Summer break is over and the new school year has began! The kids were so excited for their first day of school. Hard to believe Kelly is already in 2nd and Austin is in Kindergarten! Where has the time gone?

This morning I made muffins, by their request, for breakfast. Since they had picked their outfits out weeks ago they were up and dressed before Jacob and I even got up!

Jacob took the day off so he could take them to school and so we could have a date day. This made the first day of school a lot easier on this Mommy! It was nice to have some time together.

I loved how their first day signs turned out!

They had a great first day and can't wait to go back tomorrow!

Summer Fun!

The other day the kids got a box of goodies from Grandma and Grandpa that had water guns! With the weather being warmer and in the 90's it was a perfect way to have fun and stay cool!

Baseball Pool Party

All the little league players celebrated the end of the season with a pool party. The league rented out the pool so it was nice just having our kids there. The high was only 69 and with it being in the evening I knew our kids were going to be cold but they didn't care. They had a blast with their friends!

4th of July 2015

We started our 4th off by baking! The kids love to help in the kitchen, so they were so excited. First we made blueberry muffins for breakfast and then we made cupcakes!

While we waited for the cupcakes to bake and cool we all snuggled up on the couch and watched How to Train Your Dragon. Then it was time to decorate.

Most of the day we relaxed and watched TV.

I also gave Kelly and myself Mommy Daughter
festive mani pedis.

For dinner instead of the traditional hamburgers and hot dogs Jacob made the fish that Grandpa had brought us on their visit. It was so good, and of course we had our yummy cupcakes for dessert.

I loved the outfits they picked for this year.

Kelly loves her kitties, so her shirt not only had fireworks, but also a kitty.

And Austin showed off his new love of baseball.

Shortly after dinner we headed over to the park where they had jumpy houses, all kinds of treats (snow cones, ice cream, popcorn and more), and one of the policemen did tractor train rides. This park had 3 different playgrounds and the kids loved going to all the different areas to play. We will be coming back to this park during the week to run off all that energy of theirs.

We got a great seat for the fireworks and before the show started the kids got their glow bracelets out that I picked up at the store and spent the time catching lightning bugs.

Happy 4th of July!
