All the little league players celebrated the end of the season with a pool party. The league rented out the pool so it was nice just having our kids there. The high was only 69 and with it being in the evening I knew our kids were going to be cold but they didn't care. They had a blast with their friends!

4th of July 2015
We started our 4th off by baking! The kids love to help in the kitchen, so they were so excited. First we made blueberry muffins for breakfast and then we made cupcakes!
While we waited for the cupcakes to bake and cool we all snuggled up on the couch and watched How to Train Your Dragon. Then it was time to decorate.
Most of the day we relaxed and watched TV.
I also gave Kelly and myself Mommy Daughter
festive mani pedis.
For dinner instead of the traditional hamburgers and hot dogs Jacob made the fish that Grandpa had brought us on their visit. It was so good, and of course we had our yummy cupcakes for dessert.
I loved the outfits they picked for this year.
Kelly loves her kitties, so her shirt not only had fireworks, but also a kitty.
And Austin showed off his new love of baseball.
Shortly after dinner we headed over to the park where they had jumpy houses, all kinds of treats (snow cones, ice cream, popcorn and more), and one of the policemen did tractor train rides. This park had 3 different playgrounds and the kids loved going to all the different areas to play. We will be coming back to this park during the week to run off all that energy of theirs.
We got a great seat for the fireworks and before the show started the kids got their glow bracelets out that I picked up at the store and spent the time catching lightning bugs.
Happy 4th of July!

Austin's first baseball game
Austin has been so excited for his first game! He has loved practicing with his coach and team. I think I get asked at least twice a day if he has a game.
Austin loves batting! It's his favorite part and he does a great job!
Bike riding
The kids have really enjoyed their bikes this year. Kelly has been begging us to take off her training wheels since last summer but with the move last year we were not able to. Jacob took them off the day before Grandma and Grandpa went back home and she did a great job for her first time on two wheels. By the weekend she was riding like a pro! Ever since then all the kids want to do is ride!
I think Santa just got a great idea for Christmas!
A visit from Grandma and Grandpa
After the kids got out of school for the summer Grandma and Grandpa came to visit us for a week! We all were so excited to get to spend some much needed time with them. Besides the weekend that we visited Grandma in Ohio we had not seen them since we made the big move.
Grandma and Grandpa left Georgia at 4am and made it to our house by dinner time! Even with the long travel time Grandma and I decided to take the kids to Mall of America the next day while Jacob and Grandpa worked on getting our new boat set up.
It was a long drive, but the kids did well. We stopped at Cracker Barrel on the way which is a treat for us. We don't have one around us so anytime we get the chance to be by one we make sure to stop and eat.
The mall was huge and we didn't have time to do everything. We made sure to hit the stores on the kids list which included the Lego Store, American Girl Store, Disney Store, and Nickelodeon Store.
Kelly had found out that Grandma had never seen her favorite movie so a viewing of Frozen was a must, although Grandma still has not seen it since she fell asleep during the movie.
We decided that two of the days we were going to split the kids up so they could get some one on one time. The first day Grandma and I took Kelly shopping while Grandpa and Daddy took Austin fishing. Then the next day the kids switched. Kelly and Austin loved this and I think everyone decided that we will do this every year when they come to visit!
Kelly was so excited that her fist baseball game was while they were here. She did a great job and even was the catcher for one inning.
We were all so sad that the time seemed to go by so fast and can't wait for them to come back next year. I'm so thankful for Face Time so we can see them every day but it's just not the same.
